Usually, the married Filipino woman would introduce her boyfriend to the foreign national as her brother or half-brother or close cousin, or the like. She would also ask her husband to hire him as their chauffeur.

If you hear any of these propositions, you, as the foreign national, should be very suspicious and inquisitive. It is certain that 99.9% of the time, that man is her long-time boyfriend. As such, your own life is on the line. The boyfriend is always around, and he goes wherever you go. This situation is definitely not the best for you; in fact, it can be deadly for you. Some ‘boyfriends’ have murdered foreign nationals married to Filipino women with the consent of these married women! Do not let that happen to you.
